Title: Business Analyst Location: NJ Length: 6 Months
Scope: Working with the Credit Analysis Tool [CAT] team of Citi's Risk Management Technology organization. Working closely with the business teams to analyze and compose the business requirements into documents. The CAT application is a Global Financial Analysis and Rating generation system used for credit risk process. Responsibilities: Gather and conduct analysis of the business requirements from global users. Translate the business requirements into the Business Requirement Document [BRD], Functional Requirement Document [FRD] or Minor Development Document [MDD]. Coordinate with business user community for the execution of user acceptance test as well as tracking issues. Travel between Citi internal locations (NJ and NY), when required, to meet with clients and peers to gather requirements. Facilitate meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts in both business and technology teams. Work, collaborate and coordinate with Offshore and Onsite team members to fulfill the BA responsibilities from project initiation to Post-Implementation. Develop and execute test scripts with expected results for the System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT). Assist in facilitating user acceptance testing across various user populations Review the test scripts with business users as well as technology team. Co-ordinate and/or conduct the Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) with the business users. Own, manage, and improve upon a consistent approach to the Business and Functional Requirements finalization that will help Design and Construction phases that will follow. Creates flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations. Lead peer reviews and inspections of requirement documents. Manage changes to requirements and baseline through a change control process. Utilizes standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle Work closely with the operational functional teams, operations management and personnel, and various technology teams to facilitate a common understanding of requirements and priorities across all areas Work closely and directly with senior business stakeholders to ensure requirements prioritization and facilitate bi-directional transparency Ensure effective management of pre-construction requirements authoring select content and performing quality inspections as required Work with the Software Development team to minimize post-production defects identifying defects as early as possible in the build & test stages of the release cycle Use innovative tools & techniques to succeed in areas of accountability and responsibility Continuously improve relevant domain knowledge of self and the larger build team Comply with mandated policies and procedures Requirements: Six or more years of Business Analyst experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Credit Risk Must have in-depth business knowledge in financials spreading, credit analysis and credit risk in order to understand and capture the business requirements In-depth understanding of requirements definition approaches including pros/cons including functional decomposition, use cases. Accomplished in using best practices such as CMMI for gathering and documenting complete and detailed requirements. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Experience with basic application development techniques and environments, including understanding of concepts in Microsoft .Net and/or JAVA technology based solutions Proficiency in various desktop applications including but not limited to MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio Excellent teamwork skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Time management, prioritizing and multitasking skills a must. Analytical and detail-oriented Strong technical understanding Effective interpersonal skills and ability to participate in "virtual" and cross-teams Strong organizational and project management skills Power User of Microsoft products: Word; Excel; Access; PowerPoint, Project Strong follow-up skills; demonstrated accountability for role and responsibilities Must be a motivated, self-starter who can independently handle tasks with little oversight Please include the following in your submittal... 1.
