*Position : Android/iOS QA Tester Location : Raleigh, NC Duration : 1 year contract* *Must-haves* 3 years of Automated testing experience eggPlant or GUI Test Automation or TestPlant Experience with performance/functional testing SOAP Experience working within a mobile community Basic understanding of source code management Producing clear, consistent, well documented code Understanding when and how to trap exceptions as well as the appropriate logging needed. Understand basic networking and can handle a multi OS environment (Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, OS X). Handle associated tasks with test cases such as being able to clearly document and reproduce failures. SenseTalk Ruby PHP Perl TCL Object-Oriented development or strong procedural development Write and Execute test scripts, and contribute to the development and progression or the underlying API and libraries that drives those scripts *Plusses * REST *Role* looking for a candidate with at least 4 years of testing experience in mobile software development (Android or iOS), web application development, or comparable application development environment. This individual should be able to follow a test plan, pay attention to details, and be willing to question anything that doesn't appear correct on the applications or devices under test. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, collaborating with a team, and understanding cloud technologies. The perfect candidate is familiar with voice protocols, and data networking technologies, CUCM, and IP internetworking. The developers on the team will work very closely with the QA engineers as they design and web applications for major service providers. The candidate must be able write and execute test scripts, and contribute to the development and progression of the underlying API and libraries that drives those scripts. Experience with one or more of the following languages SenseTalk, AppleScript, Java, Ruby, Python, PHP, Per, or TCL from either a development or automation perspective is expected.
