Position:Report Developer Location:Dallas,TX Duration:6+Months Description: Specific Responsibilities Provide estimates for work to be performed, work within agreed upon time frames, and deliver timely feedback on milestones and variances Demonstrate competencies for creating complex reports according to specifications and business requirements Ability to translate user requirements into a query or report with the ability to map data between applications and the relevant database Manage issue tracking and report corrections including hands on programming in SQL Proficient in writing SQL queries and creating database views Experience with query optimization and tuning skills preferred Develop and execute test plans, test scripts and specific tests of functionality for reports. Random testing of enhancements to reports or reporting processes and interfaces Generation and maintenance of technical documentation, to include business requirement and functional specifications, test plans and protocols, test cases/scripts, traceability matrices and validation reports * *Technical Requirements: BA/BS degree in Computer Science with professional work experience in an area closely related to this position At least two to three years of programming and/or report generation with standard report writing tools Crystal Reports, Actuate 8.0 and above, Cognos. Experience in Java in conjunction with Actuate API. Familiarity with RDBMS (SQL Server desired) and at least two years experience with SQL Syntax and the use of SQL in stored procedures Experience writing report specifications and working with users to clarify provided specifications Adept in creating create Detail, Summary and Sub reports with Actuate and be able to invoke Actuate using Java.
