*Location: Jacksonville, FL * *Duration: Long term rolling contract * *Max rate: $45/hr only*** * * *POSITION SUMMARY: * *The position of Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and validation of the Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 Server infrastructure. The Systems Engineer shares responsibility for all Windows servers, server-side software, and infrastructure equipment. This includes, among other things infrastructure planning, system monitoring, contingency planning, security, performance tuning, software distribution, mainframe connectivity, Internet connectivity, and production support. * *This individual also serves as an interface to the Application Development team for troubleshooting potential hardware problems.* * * *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * *THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL, BASIC AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION.
