Role: • Interact daily with user community, business analysts, infrastructure team, developers, and managers to support the applications, resolve issues, and recommend strategic application growth. • Plan, support, and maintain security, archive sizing and tuning of PI servers & components (PI OPC, PI RDBMS, PI to PI, Pi Modbus, Pi UFL, PI OLEDB, and Pi OLEDB Enterprise) along with other • OSISoft components (i.e. AF, PI SDK, PI AF SDK, Pi Notifications, Pi Webparts) • Utilize Pi AF for configuration of notifications and creation of element hierarchies and templates for system monitoring. • Utilize Pi Performance Equations for creation of system health tags & technical support for issues related to Performance Equations. • Create and configure tags & apply compression and exception settings based on resolution requirements of the end-users subject to the specifications of the instrument sending the process values. • Perform system recoveries, upgrades, and vendor patches and ensure proper system administration documentation is up-to-date. • Provide 24x7 on-call emergency support for High Priority issues and other business critical situations in a fast paced environment. • Provide training for end-users and system administrators • Follow a strict methodology and process for change control, application support, and escalation. • Develop required operations, monitoring, and notification procedures • Work with the software development team in implementing, designing, supporting, and monitoring custom integrations and applications. • Support for interfaces to/from Pi for various applications Qualifications: • Minimum 3-5 years system administration experience with OSI/PI data using PI Enterprise or PI 2010. • Comfortable with Windows operating system, install/uninstalling applications and the various components associated with the applications compiled in Visual Basic, C++, .NET, and Java. • Comfortable with SharePoint. • Ability to create and maintain clearly written technical, user, and system documentation. • Be willing and able to work directly with clients. • Quality-oriented self-starter and supportive of team objectives. • Ability to multi-task will be required to work on various tasks. • Experience working with Business Customers/Users, Business Analysts, and Developers to provide solutions which further enhance the application and provide the business user with an improved product.
