Assuming this role, you will maintain 24x7 system availability of the Commercial Card PaymentNet Platforms. You will support rotational production on-call duties, including but not limit to: * Solaris/AIX System Administration: acknowledge, troubling shoot, and resolve Peregrine tickets; perform root cause analysis; install OS patches, packages, and hot fixes; hardware and software upgrades; backup; disk/cpu/memory monitoring; performance tuning; capacity planning; system integration; and other on-demand requests * Application Support: daily code deployment and batch job support. Work with application developers, project managers, and application production support staff to identify and solve applications related issues. If necessary, steer others to follow the UNIX security best practices * Design & Architecture: Work with architects and lead engineer for platform design projects.
