*Position: Cognos Developer Location: Downers Grove, IL Duration: 6 Month Contract Need local for Face 2 Face Interview* *Must Haves*: 5+ years of Cognos Reports Studio experience (they use version 10.1 but 9.x will work) Strong understanding of SQL Queries (Stored Procedures not necessary, this is a different team) Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Ability to translate technical data into business logic Working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and structures (understanding of different schemas, specifically Star Schemas, as well as different dimensions of Data Warehousing. *Pluses:* Query Manager Retail Industry Experience Experience with Cognos 10.1 Experience using TOAD or Query Manager *Role* This is for a division of a larger organization that sells prep materials and provides classes for people taking the CPA. Long story short, they reworked their Data Warehouse back in November of 2011 and did not take into account the reports that would have to be developed/enhanced with the new system. This person is responsible for the development of 20 complex Cognos reports. They have a PM and BSA they will be working with and receiving requirements from but eventually they would like this person to interact on the business side and deal directly with the sales department.
