*****Need local to Minneapolis Only********* Java Developer Location: Minneapolis MN Duration: 12 Months Description: Junior Java developer required to work on design, development and unit testing of a back end data processing application involving SOAP/REST services. The candidate should have a decent experience with front-end technologies too to assist with web development teams on need basis. Job Responsibilities: . Prepare detailed design documentation from requirements and interface specification that conform to application architecture and design guidelines . Ability to follow defined design patterns . Perform unit testing of the code . Perform developer integration testing with other code modules/external system interfaces . Support QA testing and fix defects . Provide documentation required for transitioning development to support teams . Work with BA's and the Solution Architect to understand business requirements solution architecture and translate those into new applications, as well as developing Required Skills and/or Experience: . 2+ years' experience in Java , J2EE, Hibernate, and Struts related platform development . Interface development experience, including working with SOAP and RESTbased Web services . Experience with build/deploy applications using Ant/Maven, etc . Experience with J2EE application servers - preferably Weblogic. . Experience with Unit Testing frameworks like Junit. . Experience with Java development for data-intensive and batch processing applications using Oracle databases . Oracle PL-SQL development skills . Solid understanding of XML/XSD/WSDL specifications . Need excellent scores with Sun Java Programmers Certification exam or Brainbench Java programmers certification exam Personality Attributes/soft skills: . Self-assured, confident and self-directed . Ability to communicate effectively with team members, including QA and BA resources . Articulate team player . Strong presentation skills (e.g. comfortable performing regular demos of system functionality for business stakeholders) Nice to Have Skills: . Experience developing POS or retail systems, or integrating with packaged retail software systems . Retail and/or Telecom environment experience .
