Job Title: Sr. .NET Developer Location: Chantilly, VA Duration: 12+ Months Project VISA STATS: EAD, GC Position #1 Position Summary: \ Under the supervision of the Chief Software Architect, the Senior Web Developer will work to develop and maintain web-based applications for commercial business to consumer websites in a Rapid Application Development environment Key Relationships Reports to: Director-Technology Services Major Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain multiple web sites * Support continuous new product releases. * Keep abreast of current web technologies to allow client Web sites to remain competitive with other commercial business to consumer web sites. * Optimize existing code base. * Implement Web Split Testing based on Marketing Priorities. * Manage Web Analytics tagging and reporting. * Manage Email Campaign Code Base, including setup of custom content blocks. * Manage deployment of web site changes to eliminate or minimize site down time. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Ideal Experience The ideal candidate for the Senior Web Developer position at will have: * Experience developing personalized commercial business to consumer web sites. * Solid technical skill set with VB.NET, ASP.Net 2.0, and other web-based technologies * Experience in Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL Server and jQuery. * Experience with Visual SourceSafe or other source code management tools. * Experience with HTML, XML, CSS, Flash a plus. * MS and Web Certifications a plus. * Content Management Systems Experience a plus * Implementation of Distributed Web Applications a plus. * Self-starter, able to multi task; good communications skills with all levels of users, from end user staff to CEO * 4 to 6 years experience working with end users for both initial specifications and validation of processes is a must. * Bachelor's degree required.
