Position: Cognos Developer Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6-12 Months Job/ Skill Set Outline •MH- Must Have •N- Nice to Have IBM Framework •MH- Designing, developing and optimizing IBM Cognos metadata models using Framework manager •MH- Relational and Dimensional modeling •MH- Integration of multiple internal and external data sources (DB2, SAS…) into a single framework •N- Experience with dynamic query mode •N- Implementing row and column level role based security Report Studio •Experience With: MH- Developing multidimensional and relational reports MH- Developing custom JavaScript, CSS, HTML to modify the default behavior of Cognos 10.X portal, reports, and prompt behavior in addition to understanding the nuances of how Cognos 8 vs. Cognos 10 interprets JS functions. MH- Macro functions MH- Drilling from dimensional to relational MH- Drill-through functionality (preserve, empty, replace etc…) MH- Output type formatting N- Active reports and associated optimization techniques MH- Summary functions (aggregate, total, calculated etc…) MH- Executive dashboards N- iPad optimized reports N-Multi developer environments N-Migrating reports from Cognos 8.X to 10.X MH-Troubleshooting and debugging N-XML modification Project Intake •N- Translating business requirements into with technical requirements and functional report specifications to create creative / innovative solutions for clients. General BI skills •MH-Strong visualization skills •MH-End user training and support documentation / presentations for report studio based reports •N-Monitoring operational performance. • N-Cross tool integration (ex.
