My client is looking for a Data Warehouse Architect in Saint Petersburg, FL. Title: Data Warehouse Architect Location: Saint Petersburg, FL Relevant Experience: 8+ years BASIC FUNCTION: This position designs and constructs enterprise-wide data and information architecture to support business intelligence and data warehouse efforts. The incumbent will architect and implement data warehouse and data mart concepts, and design and oversee strategies for data loads, metadata, repository, and business intelligence security and performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Interact with user community to determine information, data, and reporting requirements Design enterprise-wide data/information architecture to facilitate business analysis, data acquisition, access, analysis, and action Architect and implement data warehouse and data mart concepts; develop data modeling solutions Architect ETL processes using data integration tools, scripts, and stored procedures to extract data from multiple systems, applications, and other sources, and load data into enterprise data warehouse Design, develop, and maintain metadata, repository, and business intelligence/data warehouse performance strategies Oversee business intelligence/data warehouse security and data load and implementation strategies Lead enterprise projects through all phases of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years relevant work experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, and logical/physical model design required. Experience with ETL development, cleansing strategies, data structures, data quality, OLAP solution and implementation, and report creation required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with ETL, Reporting, OLAP and BI tools; demonstrated skill at implementing understanding of data mart and data warehouse concepts Expertise in constructing data architectures, data marts, and data stores Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids Ability to manage multiple projects, handle confidential and sensitive data, work in an ever-changing and fast-paced production environment and meet critical deadlines Ability to independently analyze complex situations, reach meaningful conclusions, develop detailed project plans and demonstrate strong reasoning and analytical skills Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions, use strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills and work with minimal supervision PC based software experience required with proficiency in Microsoft Office, multiple databases including SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, SAS, and various business intelligence and reporting products including Business Objects and Crystal Reports Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities Strong statistical, financial operations, and analytical modeling skills Looking forward to your response...
