*VB.Net Developer Location: New Haven, CT(Only locals or nearby) Duration: 12+months*
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver project technical solutions end-to-end (min 3 years of experience in an enterprise-class application development and delivery atmosphere) • Deliver new functionality based on design specifications. Adhere to standard coding practices and bring industry best practices to continuously improve the quality of system deliverables. • Support current system components to analyze root causes for problems and identify resolutions. • Develop and maintain unit test plans and components along with new or modified system components • Communicate effectively with technical and project leadership on task status, issues and risks. • Proactively look for improvements within the applications involved. • Self-manage the workload, including multiple deliverables/projects at once. • Create technical deliverables as defined by the project and technical leads. (see technology stack below) • Participate in design, coding, and operational reviews, both as a submitter (for work done personally) and peer reviewer. Qualifications • Knowledge of and experience in industry standard SDLC methodology (waterfall, agile, etc.) • Programming experience using VB.net (3.5 +) • Programming experience using MS SQL Server (version 2005 +). This includes T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS. Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks and fundamentals.
