Location: Reston, VA *(Phone then face/face NO SKYPE)* (Local candidates, driving distance) Duration: 6-18 months+ · Experience upgrading WebLogic Applications from WebLogic versions 8 and 9 to WebLogic 10.3 IT Engineer II plans and executes software engineering development projects, utilizing advanced software and hardware engineering principles. Uses both hardware and software engineering expertise to apply theoretical principles and methodologies to accomplish complex software engineering assignments. Providing production administration and support for Fannie Mae’s BEA WebLogic, and Apache Webserver environment. Assist Application Development teams to upgrade WebLogic Applications from WebLogic versions 8 and 9 to WebLogic 10.3 Troubleshoot more difficult or complex production slowdowns or bottlenecks and determine if OS environment or network is causing problem. Document standard operation of systems in assigned network or environment; document measures taken to patch or upgrade OS and testing done to ensure continued smooth production. Maintain or perform system upgrades, including installing up to date patches and service packs. Serve on larger projects involving team resources as a key technical resources Support system users, responding with limits of the 24/7 systems service level agreement. This includes device, configuration, and monitoring requests from users. Engineer will be responsible for implementing changes, solving problems that arise and planning and implementing engineering projects assigned by management.
