Position: Hyperion Developer Location: Windsor, CT Start date: 4/15/2013 Longevity: 12 months Travel: None Notes: ------------------------------ Hyperion Developer POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Hyperion Developer will focus on integration design, development and support. Responsible for designing, development, administration, and troubleshooting of Hyperion Reports. Responsible to self-manage their assigned projects, communicating the status of the project to the client. WORK HISTORY/EXPERIENCE: Must have 5+ years IT Data warehousing OLAP tools experience overall. Candidate must have excellent software development skills and experience following the software development lifecycle process. Candidate must have excellent analytical and communication skills including the ability to successfully convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge in the Healthcare Group Insurance industry and understanding of its terminology is a plus. The position requires the following: • Collaborate with business users/developers to provide required data • Research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality • Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems • Design and develop Hyperion reports and dashboards • Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and may perform code review for others • Creates system and user documentation • Design best practice solution to meet the needs of the client. • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues • Collaborate with requirements team to develop design specifications • Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned MB flows and their target applications • Assist users with problems and resolves issues independently • Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs unit testing • Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues Essential Skills Required: *• 5+ years of Hyperion reports development • Strong technical expertise in DB2 *• Analysis, Design and Development experience using standard project methodologies. • Self-starter able to take initiative and operate with minimal supervision. •* Prior experience with Off-shore team coordination • Well experienced in Hyperion System 11/9.3 modules (Hyperion System 9 BI+ Analytic Services, Hyperion System 9 Planning, Interactive Reporting, Financial Reporting, Production Reporting and Dashboards) and also in latest version of Fusion Edition (11.1.1), Oracle Essbase 11.1.1 and Essbase Studio • Extensive knowledge in Hyperion Business Rules (HBR), Hyperion Application Link (HAL), Essbase Calculation scripts, Essbase Commands and Essbase functions. *• Developed performance Dashboards enabling business intelligence reporting (BI) including benchmarking, metric identification, performance measurement and target setting • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills • Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new environments and learn new technologies.
