Job Description: I need a Sr. UNIX Systems Engineer for our direct client for a 6 month contract plus possible extensions. The location for this position is preferably Charlotte, NC or New York, NY but Philadelphia, PA and Tempe, AZ are also options. The ideal senior level candidate will have experience working in financial or telecom field and have expertise in Solaris(8/9/10), Red Hat (4/5), SUSE Linux (9/10) and Veritas which includes VCS. Strong experience in Oracle RAC, NAS, Sybase, Oracle, Monitoring and SAN also needed. Experience with 24x7 support is preferred. Understanding of critical infrastructures such as DNS, NIS, NFS and Net App Filers is needed. Experience with HP OVO, HPSA and BMC Patrol is a plus.
