Position:Unix System Adminstrator Location:Jacksonville, FL Duration:6-12 Months Job Duties: Last several years of demonstrated (must show activities) Systems Administration experience with UNIX operating systems, preferably AIX 6.x or greater or RedHat Linux 5.x or greater within a large (>100) server environment. Understand the processes and procedures for computer hardware and software maintenance and installation. Must demonstrate operating system upgrade experience. Must have strong proficiency with using command line functions and editors. Proven ability to run commands to set permissions at user and group levels, create file systems, run command across multiple servers simultaneously, etc. Install program products as root for AIX or Linux. Not only demonstrate the use of certain programs/utilities but also the installation, configuration and support of such products. Demonstrated ability to design and code system utilities to enhance system functionality and supportabilty. Job Requirements: Required Skills: 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a UNIX System Administrator. Proven troubleshooting and problem resolution experience collaborating with other teams to determine root cause of issues and identifying and implementing solutions. This includes analysis in debugging and documenting changes to applications in response to User requests. Disaster recovery involvement either at an exercise level or through an actual situation. Experience in audit and security – setup, configuration, documentation and scripting to ensure compliance of all systems.
