- This position will be responsible for developing/supporting critical
Java web applications related to the Engineering Change Management process.
- Candidate will be responsible for interacting with business partners
globally to architect and develop solutions to efficiently manage
engineering changes.
- Candidate must be able to understand and prioritize enhancement
requests and deliver on constantly evolving business needs.
- This position requires at least five years experience in developing
Java Web applications, good knowledge of SQL for database querying and a
willingness to work on support activities.
- The applicant needs to be a results oriented team player, willing to
work on sometimes tight schedules.
*Required Qualifications:*
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 8 years of knowledge of programming languages appropriate to the
platform supported, program design and specification development,
programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing,
debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal
systems.
- J2EE, Struts 1.2, Oracle 9+, DB2, JSP 2, JDK 1.5 +, Java Script,
Websphere/ TOMCAT, JQuery, Tiles, JDBC, JNDI, SQL.
- Good customer service in order to deal with internal customers on a
daily basis.
- Must be fluent in both English.
*Desired Qualifications:*
- Have a developing knowledge of company’s policies and procedures and a
general knowledge of the company’s organization.
- Hibernate 2+
- RAD/ Eclipse experience
- Awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with SOA and Webservices
- XML (SAX and DOM parsing)
