*Job Title: Java/WebSphere Developer *

*Location: Austin, TX *

*Specific Responsibilities:*

*The job: *The candidate will play a key part in the effort to implement a
Meter Data Management System at Austin Energy. This role will be
responsible for planning, designing, building and unit testing interfaces
and related code in the various system much as Oracle’s Customer Care and
Billing System (CC&B), Meter Systems: USC, MV-90, MV-RS and others.



*WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS*

Senior programmer/analyst must have implantation expertise’s with billing
system(s), Oracle’s CC&B billing system is preferred. Knowledge of billing
and meter reading capabilities and Oracle’s CC&B system is a plus.
Candidate must also have experience in planning, designing, building, and
unit testing interfaces.

·         Years Skills/Experience (3-5)

·         Year of Java development experience3-5

·         Years of experience building web services with Java frameworks3-5

·         Years of experience in SQL and database development on Oracle
platforms1-2

·         Years of experience with Java EE development 1-2

·         Years of experience with Oracle CC&B platform 1-2

·         Years of experience with IBM DataPower 1-2

·         Years of experience with IBM WebSphere Process Server 5+

*More insight to the project at hand:*



-They DO NOT want Front End Java Developers. They’ve had these in the past
and they haven’t worked out at all. These candidates need to be strong
middle-tier/back-end developers. They are building out TWO MIDDLE-TIER
INTERFACES; 1. Large flat file 2. Webservices



-The Main components they are looking for are:

1.      Core Java (Java J2EE)

a.       Understanding and experience building out INTERFACES

i.      These interfaces are large flat files

ii.      Webservice interface

2.      Proficiency on the WebSphere Platform

a.       WebSphere Process Server

b.      Data Power (X150)

i.      Both IBM tools.

ii.      If you find a candidate with this they WILL definitely get an IV.

3.      Nice to haves:

a.       Meter data mgmt. of some sort

b.      Oracle CCNB experience.
