QA Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL
Length: 6 months
Start: ASAP
Interview: phone
Rate: $35/HR all inclusive
Responsibilities
· Act as liaison between business, project manager, application
team, and offshore test team
· Ensure that testing environments, applications and tools are
available and ready for test team
· Ensure fast resolution of issues and queries raised by the test
team pertaining to the initiative/project
· Develop testing schedule using WBS (work breakdown structure) and
ensure that testers are assigned
· Track status and completion of test deliverables
· Lead daily status meeting with project management of defects and
issues found
· Conducts/participates in all documentation peer reviews (ex: BRD,
Test Plan, Test Scripts etc)
· Identifies high risk areas specific to a project
· Creates test scenarios and cases based on all documentation and
traceability matrices
· Writes test cases and scripts
· Defines and conditions test data
· Verifies all results through the application as well as the
various “back-end” applications
· Reports defects and issues to development via defect tracking
tool
· Attends daily status meeting, discussing defects and issues found
· Retests corrected defects and issues
· Executes regression tests
Required Skills:
· 5 + years managing a distributed test team in an enterprise
technology environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong Leadership skills
· Experience in function, regression, smoke testing, backend
testing etc.
· Strong SQL skills
· Knowledge on data warehouse concepts
· Experience of banking domain is an advantage
· Experience with complex projects and managing challenging clients
· Leading a global team across shores is an added benefit.
· Exposure to Quality Center and Jira tool
· Automation and performance testing experience is a plus
