Will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Required Skills/Knowledge Ability to develop comprehensive business and technical requirements Experience in EDI concepts and standards and implementing EDI specifications Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines Requires the ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment Possess strong work ethic and a positive attitude Learn quickly and independently and adapt to continuously changing projects and priorities Effective written and verbal communication and excellent customer service skills Proficiency with MS Office Products - including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio Proven analytical and problem solving skills Required Experience 5+ years of experience as a software developer on IBM Mainframe – COBOL, JCL, SCLM, CICS, TSO/ISPF Advanced DB2 Database and SQL skills and advanced query writing experience is required. Familiarity with QMF, DB2 Move, or SPUFI would be advantageous. Direct EDI experience – Familiarity with ANSI X12 standards and XML Experience with JBOSS Application Server is preferred Job Scope Troubleshoot issues within complex COBOL programs Lead and facilitate design sessions and provide design input Develop and document new operational processes and technical requirements Ability to develop an effective test plan and perform thorough unit testing of all changes Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting of EDI transmissions Analyze, evaluate, and modify programs to increase efficiency or adapt to new requirements Help improve and streamline EDI processes Working Conditions Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to work long hours and travel as required.
