*Title:* *C++ Developer* posted on 2013-06-20 16:17:10 *Job Description:*Roles and Responsibilities: The candidate for this role should be well versed in C++ coding and logic structures on Unix; should be experienced in debugging using DDD and able to support build and deployment using the IBM Rational Clearcase repository and toolsets. C++ is the foundation of the GlobalNet application but is heaving encapsulated and exercised via scripts and external sources (Oracle, 3rd party tools, internal applications) and as a result, the candidate will also need to be very well versed in KSH and PERL scripting, Oracle SQL and PL*SQL, as well as networking, RPC calls, and socket level communications. The role will be a balanced mixture of code development and debugging mixed evenly with data logic development and data investigations inside of Oracle. The Oracle database used for GlobalNet is quite large (1TB in size) and given that, the candidate must understand efficient SQL coding practices to develop well structured sql using indexes, hints and other efficiencies in order to execute effective queries on the data. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work with outside individuals for testing and support work. This will include understanding requests, performing the required actions, preparing results and a clear and meaningful way and then communicating back to the requestor.
