Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills ? 6+ years of experience in the field of Windows Server 2003/ 2008 System Administration (Physical and Virtual Servers) ? Handling the Major Incidents and Root Cause analysis ? Knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory including setting domain policies, Group Policy, site definition, replication, trusts and Windows Networking Services like DNS Services, DHCP Services, IIS Server, Cluster Server. ? OS parameters for Server/storage/Backup performance tuning, Windows Registry management ? Cluster server management, DR planning and execution monitoring ? Multi-domain Active Directory security architectures ? Experience on virtualization (HyperV and VMware) ? Experience with design and deployment of Microsoft SCOM ? Demand the design, implementation, security, and upgrade expertise for products such as NetWare 6.X, Novell Clustering, ZenWorks Resource Management solutions, eDirectory Designs Architecture, secure remote access, and corporate network security solutions. . Responsible for troubleshooting Solaris based hardware and software problems ? Solaris security patches and OS upgrade as per release plan . ? Monitors systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems ? Performs capacity analysis, monitors and controls usage of disk space ? Develop (as required) customized scripts / procedures for routine administration tasks including but not limited to backup/restore, shutdown and start-up ? Provides recommendations for improving the server environment, such as capacity thresholds, security gap, patch levels and hardware recalls ? Coordinate with service provider for issues and incidents related to critical Server outages, SEV 1 issues and RCA ? Coordinate maintenance and upgrade activities with OEM vendors ? Testing and ensuring Servers and peripheral devices are ready for hot stand-by ? Work with command centre and service desk team for issue resolution and problem management ? Extensive experience in Solaris security patching , OS versions upgrade like U6 to U9 or U10 upgrades. ? Strong understanding and comprehension of ITIL fundamentals ? Proficient with Zones and Container configuration, administration and maintenance ? Sun Cluster administration and experience. ? Experience with large scale EMC storage arrays utilizing a multi-tiered, multi-fabric, multi-path fibre channel environment of Cisco 9509 MDS switches. ? Disaster recovery experience including data replication technologies ? Operating system and third party application software Patching and customized scripting skills ? Strong knowledge of Solaris OS fundamentals ? Practical experience in Jumpstart Installation, Solaris Volume Manager (SVM), Veritas Volume ?
