Support the CMIPS II database infrastructure. • Installs, patches, and configures DB2 database software in an AIX environment, and Oracle on Linux. • Supports database deployment and migration activities; executes backups and restores. • Troubleshoots and resolves database issues across development, testing, and production environments. • Designs, develops, tests, and implements database tools, including: o Backup/Recovery solutions o Security and Encryption o Data Archival o Data Masking and Subsetting • Develops scripts to automate systems administration, monitoring, and reporting activities. • Monitors and analyzes database performance and resource utilization across multiple databases for Curam, AMS Advantage, Business Objects and other databases across 20+ virtual servers (AIX LPARs) to ensure system availability, develop CPU/Memory/Storage capacity projections and improve operational efficiency. • Works with CMIPS II Sr. Systems Engineer and Architect on issues related to DB2 infrastructure architecture, design, and capacity; and assists with Proof Of Concept testing. • Works with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions. • Develops Operations processes/procedures, white papers, proposals, and other documentation. • With Applications DBA: o Designs database environments and components. o Produces and maintains logical and physical data models for databases and projects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks and Regards, Alvin Paul | Recruiting Manager Office : 203-652-1444 Ext: 159 [email protected] * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
