The role will also immerse and expose you to a truly unique, world class capability driving the increase in growth and retention of customer loyalty programs on behalf of our many retail clients. This is a very data intense environment - processing around a billion rows of data per week which contribute to our service and commitment to the timely, integral, accurate publication and persistence around 200tb production data. Own, design and deliver significant development projects for the Core Aggregation team Gain business expertise on client data to inform all design decisions Mentor others to ensure knowledge transfer and quality of deliverables Pro-actively identify opportunities for data or process improvements Use formal “client” training and mentoring from more experienced colleagues to improve your personal skillset to enable taking on more responsibility and further career development in a growing team Identify, design and drive technical or process solutions to data or business problems in such a way that they can be used across many or all of our data warehouses Convert business, functional and non-functional requirements into effective design briefs aligned with reusability and cost effectiveness in mind REQUIRED The developer must have 3 to 5 years of writing advanced PL/SQL in a large dimensional data warehouse. Efficient programming practices. The developer must be familiar with reading entity relationship diagrams and have table/view/index design experience The developer must have experience with performance tuning of PL/SQL and SQL code. Desirable Unix shell programming.
