He or She will work in a team that supports the firm-wide Country Risk Management and Reporting. *Responsibilities:* The work required of the candidates is process and data intensive. Excellent knowledge of data design, processes, schema and scripting are required. In addition: experience with performance tuning of queries and database structure. *Responsibilities include:* · Meeting with business users and technology subject-matter experts to discuss requirements · Taking over support of existing schema. Working on new schema design and development · Enhancing performance of queries against the database, and writing new queries within the Country Risk Technology frameworks. · Organizing work and meetings to accomplish development tasks · Prioritization of tasks and providing status to team manager. The candidate will also be required to formulate business solutions for users, clearly explain process / approach, and efficiently resolve issues to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has excellent problem solving skills, is interested in working within a team structure, has a positive attitude, and thrives in a dynamic business and technical environment that values positive change. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with front office and technology team members. Candidate should be able to write clear and concise documentation. Typical documentation would be application requirements, specification and testing documents. Familiarity with financial instruments and financial products is recommended but not required. *Required Skills* · Strong / Clear Communication skills. · Practical experience in full-lifecycle database design, development and support. · Excellent knowledge of Oracle database development (data, schema, stored procedures). · Knowledge of performance tuning techniques, both in query analysis and database design / configuration. · Experience of data analysis tools such as Toad, Erwin and / or DBArtisan. · Excellent technical writing skills and clear exposition. Should be able to develop and maintain technical documentation. · Good skills with Office suite: Word & Excel.
