Job title: Senior Financial Project Manager Duration : 12 months Location: Philadelphia and Radnor, PA Need a mid to Senior Project Manager that will manage medium to large strategic projects for a fast paced environment. This position will need to manage cross functional teams of 8-10 resources with varying skill sets. Need a person that will hit ground running, is self motivated and has good leadership skills. * Demonstrates an understanding of the business need as defined in the Project Charter & effectively participates in the development & implementation of business solutions. *Initiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects *Actively manages work efforts of multiple cross-functional teams via the project plan. *Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment & planning techniques. *Establishes basic scope control/change management procedures. *Develops documentation; monitors and reports project status; assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation. *Analyzes and reports project status on a periodic basis *Monitors project performance to maintain quality of services, deliverables, & content. *Assist in the development of project budgets in compliance with the company's financial practices. *Collaborates and communicates with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and dependencies. *Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. *Leads the initiative on planning and implementation of contingency plans. Job Requirements *Candidates are expected to have some "real world" experience in the following in the Financial Services Industry/Broker Dealers: *Financial Advisor Process Breadth of Knowledge: (Account Opening/Maintenance, Portfolio Management, House Holding, Point of Sale, Clearing, Customer Statements, Financial Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Know Your Customer, etc.) *Financial Advisor Technology Breadth of Knowledge: (Infrastructure, Single Sign On, Identity Management, Data Conversion, User Group Administration, etc.) *At least 5 year's experience in a project management role with demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management of medium complex projects. *Excellent logical analysis and problem solving skills *Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills. *Has a successful track record of completing projects on time and on budget. *Ability to work independently or in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects. *4-year degree preferred. *Ability to work independently or in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines on at least one to two projects. *Can demonstrate an advanced knowledge of project management methodology and its practical application towards completing work. *Is creative and assertive and has the ability to mentor and coach others. *Advanced knowledge in the use of at least one Project Management Scheduling Tool.
