Title:      MS Access Developer
Duration:       4+ months
Location:       Amarillo, TX

MUST haves:
-          Very strong MS Access and must have ‘developed’ an Access
Database before
-          stage gate methodology
-          Excellent verbal communication skills
“The primary software platform will be MS Access.  There is a potential
that the person will be connecting to other programs such as Maximo,
Business Objects, and Primavera P6.  Development will include a stage gate
methodology.” – Hiring Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications
for software enhancements and new products.
Revises and refines systems as required.
Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design
specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing
support of business systems.
Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of
delivering solid, robust applications.
Strong communication skills are required as position will interact with
business owners.
Programmer resource will develop a MS Access database that will include
multiple input screens and reporting output functions while automating the
archival functionality of the information being stored within the MS Access
environment.
Using iterative development schema, a programmer resource in conjunction
with Lead personnel will determine the functional requirements of the end
state database.
Upon this functional requirements determination, the development of
multiple macros, queries (types), forms, tables, reports, and ODBC
connections to other programs will then be created to satisfy the
identified requirements.
Functionality of the tool created will be in accordance with intended users
and audience familiarities and experience levels.

DUTIES:
Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure,
test, debug, and document system and application programs.
Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional
requirements and analysis documents to customize software to meet
application requirements. Reviews functional requirements, analysis and
design documents and provides feedback.
Collaborates with other development staff to achieve quality and
consistency.
Participates in architecture, design and code reviews.
Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
Analyzes systems specifications and designs, develops, modifies, and
installs highly complex and customized software.
Actively participate in the escalation of live errors and service problems
to limit downtime and resolve problems.
Recognize and solve inconsistencies in the detailed technical
specifications and propose changes.

REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in engineering computer science, technical, or business
area with emphasis in computer science.
