Involved in development work, with occasional enhancements and maintenance (including production support). Position Description: The position serves as a senior Java applications developer for Java solutions within the Bureau of Business Solutions & Services. The candidate responsibilities will include gathering and refining technical requirements, interfacing with the User community, providing new development support, and providing maintenance and application support including troubleshooting and best practices. Specific Duties: 1. Follow the full Application Development Life Cycle for Java projects and initiatives. 2. Provide development enhancements and troubleshooting support for Java projects. 3. Understand and follow best practices of enterprise level Client/Server Java applications. 4. Perform data analysis on Java system database structures for new development purposes. Software and Client/Server application development and Internet Applications using Java/J2EE, Object Oriented and Web Based Technologies Required 5 Years Developing applications using any or all Java/J2EE technologies, Servlets, Struts, Java Beans, JDBC Required 5 Years Developing applications using any or all XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, CSS Highly desired 5 Years Experience with different IDEs like Eclipse 3.0, JBuilder Required 5 Years Developed server-side applications using any or all technologies like Servlet, JSP, JDBC, JNDI, JMS, CORBA, UDDI, WSDL, SOAP, XML/XSL Required 5 Years Developed server-side applications using any or all technologies like XML Schemas and deployed applications onto application servers. Required 5 Years Developed applications based on Spring Framework. Required 3 Years Developed applications using ORM Frameworks like Hibernate or MyBatis. Highly desired 2 Years Developed web applications based on HTML5. Required 2 Years Database and interfacing (Back-end Front-end connectivity) skills using DB2 (SQL). Required 5 Years Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
