Oracle and SQL database maintenance activities like backup, restore, transaction log shipping for SQL server 2. Having knowledge on SQL clustering and mirroring 3. Should be capable of writing SQL stored procedures and functions 4. Should be capable of building new database servers 5.Technical knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL Programming preferred. 6. Able to perform system Admin along with DBA activities. Desirable Technical Skills: 1. Maintenance of HP SAN disk storage and controllers 2. Creating cluster drives and disks 3. Troubleshooting of SAN issues and SQL issues 4. Installation of Windows and SQL server with clustering. 5.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and deal with constantly shifting priorities; have the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and have a can-do approach. 6.Be able to interpret data models and to develop database structures 7.Understanding of scripting and automation of routine tasks 8. Able to install windows and perform system administration on windows and databases 9. Having SCOM is a value add. Mandatory Functional Skills: 1.Responsible for supporting multiple databases 2.Monitors and manages database backups, logs, installs, maintains, and upgrades database software; restores and/or recovers data as required. 3.Leverage experience and lead teams on effect performance tuning, use of Oracle utilities, partitioning, and encryption 4.Provide recommendations for technical platform enhancements to reduce operating costs and enable rapid deployment models 5.Create/Write database related operational documentation for all supported applications 6.Troubleshoot and optimize database performance issues 7. Should have primary skills as Oracle DBA and having knowledge on SQL DBA activities. 8. Able to administer both Windows and database servers.
