Department Supervisor assigns all work duties and provides general* *instructions. Department Director and/or Senior Management approve changes in systems, policies or procedures. Responsibility and Decision-Making: (Briefly specify responsibility for making decisions.) Department manager assigns all work duties and provides general instructions. The IT Manager and staff may provide technical instruction. Incumbent will make business decisions within* *scope of project assigned, decisions later ratified by management if it involves a major process change or dollar investment. Split second decisions must be made by incumbent to insure* *production issues are resolved timely and efficiently, to insure uninterrupted production. Equipment and Software Operation: (How much time is spent operating equipment? Indicate the types of equipment operated. Include specific hardware and software used and product* *achieved through usage.) PC operation in the use of software: PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleSoft FIN. Associated modules to include Payroll, Time and Labor, Billing, AP, AR, General Ledger, Pay Bill Management,* *Projects, and Contracts. General working knowledge of Crystal Reporting and Access is needed. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Word. General office equipment is also used. * *(Note: PeopleSoft modules may be added as business needs change)* *Relations with Others: (What contacts are made other than immediate co-workers and supervisors?) Position interacts with all levels of personnel within the company (primarily corporate employees with occasional contact with internal branch employees). Incumbent must remain* *courteous at all times providing prompt superior customer service, while recognizing the sensitivity and confidentiality of information contained within the systems utilized. Individual must* *be able to direct project team members toward common goals and manage project tasks to insure timely project completion. Understanding the effects of data processing transactions, the interactions and interfaces between the multiple input systems and proper prioritization of daily activities are the most* *difficult and complex to learn as well as the most important aspects of the job. Incumbent must understand and remain up to date with changes in corporate policies and regulations* *affecting processing procedures and system applications for a.* *Experience Necessary: (List minimum education or equivalent experience required to perform job successfully; type and length of work experience, and any special courses required.) Minimum of 5 years experience with supporting major PeopleSoft HRMS modules like Payroll, Time and Labor, Benefits, and core HR and/or major PeopleSoft Financials (v.8.4 or better)* *modules like GL, AP, AR, BI, PC, CA and Expenses PS Pay Bill Management and FO staffing experience preferred. 5 + years experience in a systems analyst or project manager role required. Experience in developing test plans and testing strategies. Experience with PeopleTools 8.4x preferred. Highly developed PeopleSoft query writing skills Experience with MS SQL Server Query Analyzer The ability to work with limited supervision and in often-stressful situations is critical. Superior oral communication and interpersonal skills required. Detail oriented individual with excellent work/time organizational skills, as well as analytical and problem solving skills, essential. Intermediate to advanced Excel required, general knowledge of Word and MS Access and MS Project required. Adobe and Crystal reporting helpful.
