Title: Oracle Database Architect posted on 2013-10-25 16:44:13 Job Description:*Role: Database Architect - Oracle RAC/Performance Tuning* *Work Location: Orlando, FL* *Duration: 6 Months+* *Phone Hire* *Start: ASAP* *Visa: H1,EAD,GC* Job description: We need a strong Database Architect with performance tuning expertise for a large scale project with experience in oracle RAC implementation. Individual is expected to look at our production environment and identify bottlenecks in the system like slow running queries, ora parameters, RAC parameters and provide development teams and system engg teams with appropriate guidance to improve performance. Individual is expected to understand current growth patterns of our data and analyze current capacity and provide suggestions for horizontal and vertical scalability to meet our current SLAs. Individual need to access our Storage requirements and recommend types of storage like flash ..etc for our application Individual is expected to come up with creative ways in re-architecting any performance improvements with least impact to existing application. Individual is expected to look at AWR reports and explain plans and provide clear cut direction in solving production issues during incident periods. Individual is expected to join off shore calls and guide them with any SQL tuning exercises. Individual is expected to articulate any Database related problems in business terms to product owners and provide them clear cut impact analysis on any anticipated or current problems. Required skills: Individual should have very strong DBA experience (at least 5 yrs as oracle Architect and 12 Yrs experience in Database world and at least 2 yrs experience with 11G RAC implementation) Tune complex sqls for better performance, Experience with oracle RAC configuration tuning, Partitioning, appropriate index management ..etc. Estimate the database capacity for current and future growth patterns of the application and provide right storage options. Suggest oracle level config parameters for application database to system DBAs with confidence and proper explanation. Ability to monitor Database through enterprise grid and AWR reports both in prod and performance environment. Need to provide through report o time to time basis about the growth of database and impact analysis with proper course of action. Additional Skills Non-sqldb skills are a plus.
