In this exciting role, you will collaborate with key business and technical personnel to implement customer-centric mobile technology solutions in support of Thomson Reuters Legal businesses. Candidates are expected to be self directed with the ability to identify appropriate implementation solutions and set technology direction. Primary Responsibilities • Design, develop and deliver mobile/iOS solutions. • Proactively contribute to design discussions and carry out the architectural vision provided by architects or technical leads. • Demonstrate and encourage innovation and the use of technology to meet and exceed business goals. • Able to take on technical ambiguity and ask appropriate questions to make forward progress; assists other technical staff in doing the same. • Build strong relationships with coaches, architects, peers, team members, testers and business partners. • Work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment and mentor less experienced developers. • Participate with business units using Agile techniques and practices to identify requirements, acceptance criteria and designs. • Contribute to project development estimates and timelines. • Regularly communicate with project team and management. • Investigate and resolve issues in development, test and production environments. • Develop software that operates within a highly scalable distributed multi-tiered system. • Review development data to spot trends, issues, impact, etc. and make recommendations as a result of the data. • Handle production issues in an efficient manner and recommend preventative steps for the future. • Contribute to recommendations for technology use and tools used within the department. Communication and Collaboration • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with architects and software engineers to come up with cost-effective and quality solutions to business needs. • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. • Produce well-written technical and business communications as needed. • Collaborate with other departments/teams on technical solutions for common business goals demonstrating a cooperative and positive spirit. *Minimum Qualifications* • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field. • 5+ years technology development related experience. • Experience with the following technologies: - Xcode (objectiveC) - iOS (CoreData a plus) - Javascript and jQuery - HTML5/CSS - Mercurial experience a plus • Prefer experience interfacing iOS applications with web services: SOAP or REST and structured data like XML or JSON. • Exceptional coding skills.
