*Sr. DataStage AdministratorChicago, IL6-12+ Months Contract*

*Job Description*:
The DataStage Administrator will ensure the DataStage environment is up and
running optimally and support the Development, UAT and Production
environments. The DataStage Administrator will be responsible for the
maintenance and reliability and critical uptime of the DataStage
Environment, as well as responding to alerts and issues with ETL jobs and
processes. Perform all the administrative duties as assigned.

*Qualifications*:
·         4+ plus years of experience in Infosphere DataStage suite as
administrator
·         4+ years of DataStage Administration experience; version 9.1 is
highly desired
·         ETL
·         UNIX/AIX/HP
·         Must have experience with Fast Track, Information Analyzer and
Blue Print Director
·         Experience installing and upgrading Datastage Server product
suite on different tiers
·         Experience with Post install Configuration, various data sources
configuration for the Enterprise plug-in and configurations
·         Experience with stopping and starting server and monitor the logs.
·         Expertise with Capacity Planning for Datastage environment
·         Experience setting up Security (internal registry and external
registry such as LDAP), assigning roles, project permissions etc.
·         Experience monitoring various Connecters and Adapters
·         Extensive experience with the following Create/Delete projects,
create/modify environmental parameters. Multiple APT_CONFIG_FILE
·         Must have experience monitoring the InfoSphere suite server for
I/O usage, memory usage, CPU usage, network usage, storage usage
·         Must have intimate knowledge of how to kill or remove file locks,
job locks, shared memory locks, specific processes or users and remove
unwanted files
·         Experience in applying the necessary InfoSphere suite patches;
modifying the kernel settings, system backup, system recovery etc.
·         Ability to assist with operations and production coverage
·         Outstanding communication and customer support skills and
experience (must know what questions to ask and how to support internal
clients and team members)
