Job role: WMS Technical Architect Emerging Technologies Duration: 6+ Months Location: LANCASTER, TX or SOUTH BEND, IN Project Name: WMS - Wireline Support Project Description: Support wireline RedPrairie WMS instances across 4 regions. On site position - mandatory Job Description: FOCUS AREA: Provide SME level knowledge in support of 6 instances of WMS Wireline RedPrairie, spanning 3 timezones. Mentor current production support resources in troubleshooting and resolving technical production issues, including direct support to warehouse clients tier I superusers. Engage in MOCA development to resolve software bugs and or make enhancements. Respond to after hours callouts periodically. CANNED JOB DESCRIPTION: *Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems on emerging technologies, including hardware and software. *Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. *Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. *Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems. *Subject Matter Expert (SME) within own discipline/specialty area; basic knowledge of other disciplines/specialty areas.. *Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge. Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent. *Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues. *Develops new concepts/methods/techniques for cross functional emerging technologies initiatives. *Recognizes/pursues alternative methods. *Exercises latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Leads multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth. Education *Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience Experience and skills *6 to 8 years experience as a Technical Architect in Fortune 500 company *Minimum 5 years experience with Java and Java related Technologies *Expert SQL *Strong understanding of the Oracle/Financials schema and table structures. *Hands on experience in various disciplines (Financial, Supply Chain, etc.) *May require experience with Warehouse Systems, EDI, ASCP *Project management experiences a plus *Experience in one or more areas: Oracle Coherence, Apache Cassandra, JAXB, BPM, XML, Wireless APS, KRONOS, PeopleSoft, Informatica, etc. with senior level depth.
