*Senior software developer to build video player technologies on mobile and
connected devices such as Android phones and tablets, Windows 8 phones and
tablets, iOS devices, Apple TV, HTML5, and Xbox among others. *
The video player is used by many Client brands to build their mobile
applications
The right candidate must be able to work alone as well as in a team and be
able to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality and
defect-free code for projects throughout the year that have fixed
deadlines.
Working on a small-dedicated team, the candidate will collaborate with
product development, various technical teams and 3rd party vendors.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the fast growing
digital media industry with some cutting edge technologies.
*Qualifications: *
Work close with Technical leads to maintain and extend a custom video
player framework for Android
Collaborate with Product Management on proof of concepts, demos, and
prototypes
Willing to demonstrate working prototypes and designs to other team members
Document designs clearly and efficiently
*Required Qualifications *
· 7+ years of professional software development experience
· 5+ years experience with Java - 3+ years experience developing on
mobile platforms (preferably Android)
· B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Strong technical knowledge especially in emerging
technologies/platforms
· Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and
fundamentals of computer science
· Demonstrates ability to master new technologies quickly
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
*Optional Qualifications *
· *Java Swing - Client-side technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX,
CSS) *
· *Experience in video and video playback technologies. *
· Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
· Working knowledge of *HTML5 video standards* a plus.
· *Knowledge of video encoding technologies a plus*
