*Interview Mode: Telephonic Then Skype* *Skills Required and Job Description:* *Project Details - * *solid Oracle Apps DBA that has strong experience with Streams 11g* *Duties and Responsibilities * • Provide technical support and technical consulting for Keste customers. • Responsible for the design, installation and configuration of *Oracle E-Business Suite.* • Have direct (onsite visits, phone) and indirect (via email) contact with customers to assist in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and migration of E-Business Suite Databases. • Knowledge of web hosting technologies, Linux/Unix operating systems, Oracle Database 10g and 11g. • Familiar back-up and recovery procedures and the set-up of disaster recovery using Oracle Data Guard. • Specific duties will/may include the following: Engineering and Provisioning • Installation of multi-node Oracle E-Business Suite 11i/R12 on Linux Operating Systems with Oracle Database 11g RAC with ASM • Upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite Database from 10g to 11g • Cloning of Oracle application production instances using Rapid clone • Strong architecture background with various operating systems, hardware platforms, networking and storage platforms • Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for external and internal projects • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale • Advise technical teams as an SME on RDBMS/RAC, RMAN, ASM/storage layout, Clusterware/Grid, RAC services/connectivity administration, monitoring, and support • Advise customer teams designing, testing and executing platform migrations/upgrades to new production environments (single instance to RAC, platform migrations, application upgrades) • SME for designing DR/BCP best practices, configurations and processes and execution of DR testing Maintenance • Apply patches using adpatch utility • Apply CPU patches for database and application • Implement RMAN setup for backup and plan backup strategy • Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary • Upgrade and configure system software that supports Keste infrastructure applications or external projects or operational needs • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. • Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment. • Shared APPL TOP cloning • Creating Responsibilities, Menus, Users, and Printers and maintaining User Security. • Responsible for monitoring the scheduled jobs • Migrating all custom programs and reports to production instances.
