*Interview Mode: Telephonic Then Skype* DESCRIPTION: *5+years of experience needed *As part of the new product development team, you will work with other mechanical engineers and an interdiciplinary amplifier development team to create and evaluate new mechanical parts for automotive audio amplifiers. Responsibilities will include concepting, CAD design & detailing, thermal/structural FEA, prototyping, validation, and evaluating suppliers for production tooling. *You will also:* • Develop solutions to complex problems requiring regular use of ingenuity, creativity, and technical expertise. • Apply design best practices in every product and work to improve internal design guidelines • Design parts for high-volume production and assembly. • Deliver comprehensive design reviews to internal and external automotive customers. • Perform thermal, strain, and other measurements on prototype parts to prove out design choices. • Provide problem identification and solution support from the concept stage of a new product through production manufacturing. • Assess the soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, projects and equipment. • Manage the schedule for new mechanical components, cost, and design details to ensure on time delivery and successful completion of all project milestones.
