The reason why we are looking for such capacity is because the DBA will be busy 80% of his/her time troubleshooting and fixing performance issues, and/or directing the approach to address the issues. The remaining capacity would be devoted to other internal activities like proactive optimization and improvements, performance root cause analysis, performance knowledge sharing, tuning advisor, etc. All the questions in the interview will be Tuning and Performance oriented.
