*MUST some exposure with one of these: Ruby, cucumber and/or gherkin*
*Must have good comms; they are picky about comm skills*
*We are looking for an automated QA Tester with Gherkin, Cucumber, and Ruby
for a long term contract with the potential to go full-time. *
*Job Summary*
The *Sr QA-Tester * is responsible for assisting developers in creating
detailed application test plans. Develops, maintains, executes and
upgrades manual test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other
programmatic test tools required to execute test plans. Effectively
communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
Controls and manages daily test activities.
*Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities*

· Contribute to QA processes
· Contribute to work estimates and evaluation of risk factors in
test automation
· Provide mentoring and guidance to less senior QA team members
*50%*
· Assists developers in creating detailed application test plans
· Develops, maintains, executes and upgrades manual test scripts,
utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required
to execute test plans
· Provides reports to management as required
*20%*
· Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral
and written forms
· Controls and manages daily test activities
· Organizes and maintains the test script library
*Job Requirements*
Essential Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, related
field or equivalent
· QA/Testing certification
Experience:
· 2-4 years in QA with full life-cycle testing, writing test plans,
developing test cases and implementing test strategies; or equivalent
combination of education and experience
Skills:
· Work in a highly dynamic, agile organization
· Ability to analyze the most complex applications and systems with
minimal supervision
· Strong problem solving skills to determine the effects on
existing and new systems
· Excellent business analysis and communications
· Strong decision making skills
· Expertise with MS Office products required
· Office suite of applications
Preferred Requirements:
· 1+ years of experience with automated testing tools (Cucumber,
Gherkin, and Ruby)
· Prior experience in software development and technical writing
environments preferred
· Direct Selling model and incentive plans
