*GENERAL DESCRIPTION*
The *Senior Software Engineer* needs to be a self-motivated, results
oriented team player with good communications skills. This position will
help develop a new enterprise web application being built from the
ground up using the latest technologies.
*MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS*
*Experience in building highly scalable systems/applications in a
complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment.
*Familiar with developing web based applications preferably using
ASP.NET MVC 4 (Razor syntax).
*Good experience in Web Services specifically REST-based APIs using
ASP.NET Web API or similar technologies
*Strong object-oriented design and coding skills in at least, one modern
programming language such as Java, VB.NET, or C# (preferably C#).
*Familiar with SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or other software development
methodology and Best Practices.
*Good understanding of ORM frameworks specifically Entity Framework.
*Familiarity with IoC and Dependency Injection using Ninject or similar
frameworks
*Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server with emphasis on writing
optimized SQL queries and procedures.
*Good understanding of Web Technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
*Experience with web front-end libraries (ie. Jquery, Bootstrap, Font
Awesome, Modernizr)
*Self-motivated and capable of working in an dynamic environment
*Excellent leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
*Demonstrated leadership in building complex software systems with the
ability to dissect and divide a complex issue to sizable and manageable
chunks.
*Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices and
structured architecture frameworks -- i.e. MVC.
*Experience using source control using TFS and/or Subversion.
*Computer Science fundamentals in data structure, algorithms and complex
analysis.
*Must have great understanding of Design Patterns, Enterprise
Integration Patterns and Agile Patterns and Practices.
*Experience with all stages of the software lifecycle -- conception,
design, development, testing, documentation and revisions
*Integration experience with passing data from one application to
another and object serialization
*SKILL SET*
*Strong knowledge of disparate technologies, ranging from front end
users interfaces through to back end reports and display screens.
*Experience communicating with customers/ users, other technical personnel
*Excellent customer relationship management and customer service skills;
ability to understand a customer's business and how IT contributes to
the delivery of that product or service; excellent problem-solving,
decision-making, and relationship building skills.
*Strong communication, documentation, and relationship management skills
with analyst's staff and all project team members.
*Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
*Significant experience working in a collaborative team environment
*Demonstrated innovative "out of the box" thinking.
*Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred
*6-10 years of professional software development experience
