*IRIS Self Directed IT System Business Analyst** --*

The IRIS Self Directed IT System (ISITS) is the IRIS Program's initiative
to replace legacy case management systems with web based software. The
individual hired as the Business Analyst will provide functional expertise
in support of the ISITS implementation project with specific knowledge in
business requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and system
documentation.  This includes activities such as troubleshooting problems
and assisting through resolution, participating in writing functional and
technical requirements for system changes, performing system and
integration testing of changes to the ISITS systems, and assisting with
documentation of user procedures and training programs.



More specifically, the person serving in this position will -



·         Be responsible for overseeing the design and documentation of the
business requirements by the contracted vendor.

·         Work with the functional team members to identify opportunities
to streamline business processes to best leverage the ISITS system, as well
as develop strategies for the future business process flows within the
ISITS system.

·         Execute, monitor, and document functional activity for the ISITS
project.

·         Provide functional expertise and guidance during the project to
ensure proper design techniques are used and that all resources are used
appropriately.

·         Provide advanced problem solving and functional support, and work
with the team to resolve complex functional problems.

·         Collaborate with project team members to develop common processes
across the IRIS program and facilitate the development and implementation
of support procedures.

·         Work with other subject matter experts to ensure seamless
integration with their systems and tools.

·         Collaborate with other team members in the development and
execution of an implementation/rollout plan.



The person also will be a pivotal player in several important steps of the
development and implementation this complex IT System. The Business Analyst
will -



·         Be responsible for the oversight of functional and technical
requirements for the ISITS system.

·         Work closely with the conversion development team to ensure the
requirements are met.

·         Participate in the development of conversion requirements.

·         Oversee and ensure that data quality / cleansing efforts are
planned and implemented

·         Participate in development of testing and training requirements
for UAT and oversight of vendor testing.

·         Work with the Change Management team and functional team members
to develop, review and approve comprehensive user documentation.

·         Participate in the review and approval of testing plans and
scenarios, ensuring that all aspects of the system are fully tested --
application/unit test, integrated test, parallel test and
performance/stress test.

·         Participate in the development and documentation of security
requirements for all users.

·         Participate in the deployment phase, cutover plan, data
conversion, master data load, historical data load.



In order to effectively perform these duties, the person serving as the
Business Analyst on the ISITS project will need to have a wide range of
knowledge and need to possess several skills, including -



·         Excellent business and transactions processing skills.

·         Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize
complex or diverse information and to collect, research and report on data
analysis.

·         Problem-solving skills, including timely problem identification,
as well as analysis of root causes and analysis of options for problem
resolution.

and design techniques.

·         Planning and organization skills, as exhibited by an ability to
coordinate many different project tasks, to prioritize and plan work
activities and set appropriate deadlines to complete key activities, and to
effectively manage time and resources.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the

or negative situations.

·         Teamwork and Issue Resolution skills -- showing strengths in
balancing team and individual responsibilities, exhibiting objectivity and

differences in business processes are discussed.



Highly qualified candidates will also have a combination of the following:

·         Leadership experience with systems development projects in a
functional capacity within a public sector environment.

·         Experience with developing, implementing, and/or managing large,
complex operational systems within a public sector environment.

·         Experience with business process design.

·         Developing the business case/value for SharePoint

·         Developing a SharePoint program

·         Installing, configuring and setting up SharePoint for
College-wide usage

·         Developing an effective governance and solution development
process

·         Establishing policies, procedures and standards for day-to-day
SharePoint operations management

·         Establishing monitoring mechanisms (e.g., scripts) for
SharePoint's

·         Piloting SharePoint within the IT group, then rolling it out more
widely

·         Implementing a SharePoint portal, search, taxonomy, metadata, etc.

·         Starting to build SharePoint as Madison College's Intranet
environment

·         Promoting SharePoint as a service within the user community

·         Developing a customer development/training program (delegated
model) to allow end-users to effectively use SharePoint

·         Establish and develop a support structure, including, a
SharePoint User Group

·         Working with internal IT staff to transition knowledge and train
them to administer and support SharePoint long-term



These projects and initiatives require the candidate to operate
independently, critically think and provide leadership, quality assurance,
alignment to vision/mission and follow-through on solutions to completion.



*Requirement III*

Position  -Web Developer/PHP developer with Both front end (Javascript,
HTML, CSS) and back end (PHP, MySQL)

Location - Madison college

Duration - 6+ Months

The website uses Drupal7, and consists of roughly 5,000 pages and is
supported by 200 authors.   Typical operational activities include:

·         Continuous updates of Drupal code base, including contributed and
custom modules

·         Create, maintain and modify custom Drupal themes

·         Support content authors with CMS usage and HTML

·         Database queries to pull reports as requested

·

*Basic Qualifications*

·         Outstanding verbal and written skills are essential.

·         Experience developing in, PHP, Javascript, Java, HTML and MySQL.

·         Experience in persuading business areas to adopt standard
procedures that may not meet 100% of their business needs.

·         Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and
prioritizing multiple tasks.

·         Demonstrated experience leading without direct authority.

·         Demonstrated track record of successful and accurate program
development.

·         Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills

·         Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex
