Job Title: *Oracle Developer *
*Location:**Ridgefield Park, NJ*
*Skills Required:*
** Experience with public facing websites
** Experience with Java/J2EEis preferred
** Responsible for all database related activities for the U.S. Company web
site
** 85% PL/SQL works, including creating *Oracle* packages/stored procedures
and complicated SQL queries and also tuning PL/SQL queries and 15% data
modeling.
** Hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming and tuning queries
** Hands-on experience with application database
** Ability to develop and analyze all queries, packages, processes
** Ability to devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems which
run for web application
** Ability to design and document database architecture for data modeling,
using case tools (ERwin preferred)
** Ability to redefine the existing databases for new databases
** Experience in facilitating recovery from database failure
** Ensure database integrity & security and system tuning using UNIX system
monitoring utilities and *Oracle* supplied tools like ESTAT/BSTAT,
STATSPACK, TKPROF, analysis of fixed views and ratio analysis
** Analyze existing, new, and emerging technologies within current
environment and strategic plan
** Experience with consumer goods manufacture web applications for variety
products, which are based on WEB/WAS structure
** 5+ of experience performing the foregoing functions as an *Oracle*
*Developer*/DBA
** Bachelors Degree or higher
*Special Skills:*
**OCP preferred
** Work with other System Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project
Managers for the enterprise level web applications which is multi-tier
structure to coordinate integration and ensure compatibility of hardware,
operating systems, database tools and applications
** Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to create
software design and engineering documents
** Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work under tight
deadlines is essential
** Hands-on experience with application database/design
*Responsibilities:*
This position is for an *Oracle* *Developer* / DBA which requires mostly
hands-on experience of PL/SQL and *Oracle *package programming, data
modeling, DB performance tuning and operating *Oracle* on UNIX system. The
qualified candidate needs to take responsibility for the DB programming,
including PL/SQL, *Oracle* packages, and scripts, modeling for new/existing
databases, operating multiple DBs, and optimizing DB performance. Also, it
is required to implement protocols for security to accommodate a wide
variety of user needs with respect to access methods, access time,
validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical
methods.
