After conversion will test all jobs. If warnings come up will make changes based on the warning-additional coding, changes needed, etc. *Position Summary: * ETL Application Support and Development using Ascential ETL software responsible for designing, developing and debugging ETL processes. 25%-Develop new web-based applications for internal and external business as required. 25%-Maintain/support existing in-house systems. 20%-Provide support to users and handle production issues as needed. 15%-Work with business analysts to deliver efficient applications that meet user requirements. 15%- Coordinate work deliverables with other programmers and Team Lead as part of a project team. *Requirements:* Development Tools: Ascential Toolset, including DataStage, ProfileStage, and MetaStage. Databases: IBM DB2 Version 7/8; Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Skills and Abilities: Proficient in ETL programming including advanced SQL and stored procedures. Demonstrated, real-world experience developing/modifying ETL for business applications. Solid background in design concepts including performance and scalability. Good documentation skills. Self-starter who can jump right into fast-paced, high exposure projects. Problem solver who can think for themselves and work with minimal direction. Willing to put in additional hours if necessary to get the job done. Demonstrated ability to deliver proven results with tight deadlines. Passionate about quality. *Experience/education*: 9 years experience. Bachelor’s degree (or comparable business experience). Additional information for this postion. Ability to write technical specifications for Ascential ETL code. Experience with parallel job. Code and unit test Ascential ETL modules. Set up batch schedule processes and documentation. Bug fixes and research during testing cycles. Develop and test required stored procedures. Develop, test, and execute one time processes. Assist with application performance tuning.
