Our relationship with our business is hands on and offers our workforce the opportunity to apply some of the latest technology in the market. *Responsibilities:* The Decision Support Infrastructure Services (DSIS) team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer whose primary role will be application development & maintenance of programs to extract data from a variety of operational sources for loading into the Data Warehouse and to integrate/aggregate data for reporting and analytical needs. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing prototypes and performing complex application coding and programming. This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. The Senior Software Engineer also analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints. In addition, this position performs unit and integration testing and assists with developing unit test scripts. The Senior Software Engineer provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments. Job Requirements: *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred - Must possess 3+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and working in a large scale computing and/or networking environment - Must have 2+ years of knowledge and prior use of Teradata - Must have 3+ years of experience in ETL development - Must possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience with SQL and the UNIX operating system - Must have prior application and database performance tuning experience - Must be versed in multiple and various programming languages - SAS ETL and Informatica preferred - Knowledge and use of scheduling tools is preferred - Tivoli Workload Scheduler is a plus *Additional skills and competencies:* - Candidate needs to operate from both a big-picture and a tactical viewpoint - Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical content.
