With involvement throughout the full software development lifecycle, from concept through to delivery, we are seeking high caliber Senior ETL Developers to spearhead development in the following areas: · Automated Enterprise ETL · Big Data Mining & Enrichment Duties and Responsibilities · Research areas of expertise and specialism, keeping abreast of technology shifts and trends · Participate in design workshops, providing technical insight and knowledge · Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents · Create and maintain technical design documentation · Perform quality coding to business and technical specifications · Review coding performed by team members · Create, document, and implement test plans and scripts. · Investigate, analyze, document and correct reported defects · Create and maintain technical specification documentation · Perform related duties as assigned Desired Skills & Experience First and foremost we require individuals with outstanding communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people. Additionally they should also possess as many (depending on the area of specialty) of the following as possible: · At least 5 years demonstrable Database Development experience · A track record of building innovative solutions · Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation · Full understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) concepts and technologies · Advanced experience SQL Server (Including T-SQL & SSIS) · Knowledge of the following Data Warehousing tools, patterns and processes o Modeling data by applying dimensional and star schema models with an understanding of the techniques used by both Kimball and Inmon o Dimension Tables o Fact Tables (including measures, facts and metrics) · Knowledge of formal database architecture and design · Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents. · Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
