*Role: Windows System Admin* *Location: Washington DC* *Duration: 6 months* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MUST HAVE!!!!!! **We are looking for someone with strong advanced Active Directory skills as well as advanced windows system administration troubleshooting and scripting (powershell). Selection Criteria: 1. Bachelor’s degree(s) in Computer Science/Engineering or Equivalent. Minimum Five consecutive years of system administration experience. 2. Microsoft MCSE and or equivalent 7 years experience supporting a large installation of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 servers 3. Strong knowledge of Active Directory Management including: user management, GPOs, building and upgrading domains & forests 4. Programming and scripting experience, preferably in Powershell 5. In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals, registries, permissions 6. Familiarity with performance analysis using performance monitoring 7. Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (DNS, ICMP, SMB, SSL/TLS, etc.) 8. Patch management procedures for windows operating systems 9. Initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments; flexibility and ability to prioritize conflicting demands in high-pressure and time-critical situations. 10. Strong knowledge of File\Print server management as well as Anti-virus management tools 15. Familiarity with the following are a plus: a. Remote Monitoring and Management tools b. CA –Arcserve/IBM Tivoli Storage Manager c. IIS d. Exchange e.
