Job Title:GIS Admin Location: Columbus,OH Duration: 6+ Months
Complete Description: The CADD/GIS Administrator (CGA) is responsible for providing direct support of various CADD/GIS software and hardware systems. The CGA will perform hardware and software installations, relocations, testing and routine maintenance. Years of Relevant Experience: 8 plus years Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study. Role Description: All roles specified plus the following: •Lead efforts to troubleshoot CADD/GIS system hardware and software problems. •Lead team of CGAs developing software and hardware plans and solutions. •Expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functional courses/concepts. In addition - we are looking for the following: Requires installing, testing, and implementing ArcServer in a distributed environment, including testing & migrating version releases, coordinating with security team, troubleshooting system issues, and assisting with implementation of ESRI ArcServer extensions and other 3rd party applications dependent on ArcServer technologies. Assists with coordinating maintenance of enterprise SDE databases. Requires aptitude to provide cross training to other ODOT employees, ability to document system architecture, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Good communication skills Required 4 Years Ability to work in a team environment and mentor other staff members Required 6 Years Ability to work on other vendor packages; install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain various COTS packages. Required 4 Years Experience maintaining GIS infrastructures in large enterprise organizations Required 4 Years Experience testing hardware and software CAD/GIS systems Required 4 Years Experience mentoring and knowledge transfer of technical and /or functional concepts Required 4 Years Experience installing , testing and implementing ArcServer in a Distributed environment Required 4 Years Experience with implementation of ESRI ArcServer extensioins and other 3rd parties applicaitons dependent on ArcServer Environ.
