Job Description:Should extensive experience on RedHat Linux servers’
installation, configuration, and virtualizations.

(1)   Set up & configuration of Redhat  servers and all server
administrative activities
(2)   Set up of Physical, Virtual IP, Private Interconnect, shared file
system configuration for Oracle RAC& other applications
(3)   Installed VCS, and VERITAS Volume Manager and configured in Linux  to
provide High availability to user applications both active/active &
active/passive environments
(4)   Set up of virtual servers (VM Ware) and zones in Linux
(5)   File system management on various volume managers (VxVM, SVM, LVM)
(6)   Must know the kernel parameters and functions
(7)   Day-to-day management of support and demonstration environments
including software and hardware upgrades, patch management and
infrastructure design in a mixed of Linux environment
(8)   Planning and implementing the rollout of patches and upgrades across
all platforms with minimum disruption to service wherever possible
(9)   Configured bonding in Linux Servers and IPMP  hosts for redundancy
(10) Setting up FTP, NFS and Samba servers for file sharing
(11) Set up of EMC storage including Data Domain
(12)  Set of Tape storage like Netbackup
(13) Supporting servers in production & test environment
(14) Troubleshooting activities and helping user requests
(15) Coordinating for execution of outages, Scheduled Maintenances, Root
cause analysis
(16) Experience on  ITIL processes
(17) Maintain and audit user accounts
