The projects involve updating and fixing legacy code, and developing new
code for a project to replace reliance on TSYS. Basically when a customer
calls with any inquiry about their card, their entire conversation is
logged into TSYS as a memo, and goes into their record. Every time
Barclay's needs to access this information (which is all the time) they
have to ping TSYS.
the kicker is that TSYS charges them every time they access a record. This
new application at Barclay's will reduce their need to ping TSYS for record
memos, saving an estimated 1.2 million dollars a year. Exciting project!
Skills:
8+ years with the following:
Oracle development (PL/SQL) {Number 1 requirement}. They should be very
experienced in performance tuning and partition exchange. Also need to be
very experienced with stored procedures, triggers, joins, indexes etc. All
the standard things you script pl/sql for.
