*Job Title: Business Analyst*
*Location: Washington, DC* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Interview Type: F2F* *Need to have 9 Years of Experience * Short Description: Business Analyst for the Affordable Housing Data Project. The candidate will work with project resources residing in the Citywide Data Warehouse. Complete Description: The Business Analyst will work with District agency resources to successfully gather and analyze customer requirements; decompose business and functional requirements into technical requirements; develop use cases; and develop test plans. The succesful candidate will have experience with business process modeling and re-engineering projects and will have a working knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and methodologies. The candidate will work closely with the Systems Engineer and Data Analyst as well as other members of the Citywide Data Warehouse team. The successful candidate will also operate with minimal oversight and be fully experienced with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). *Behavior Characteristics:* The successful candidate must possess: Critical thinking skills; the ability to think innovatively; A professional attitude with the ability to work well with a team; an understanding of best practices; a "can do" attitude. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Extensive experience gathering and analyzing customer requirements for the development of software applications. Required 9 Years 3 - Expert Experience working in a data warehouse environment. Required 5 Years 2 - Proficient Extensive experience documenting functional and technical requirements, use cases, and test plans. Required 9 Years 3 - Expert Experience with business process modeling, analysis, process design, and business process reengineering. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Experience conducting integrated teaming (JAD) sessions. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Ability to develop UML diagrams, sequence diagrams. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert SDLC IT project management experience and an understanding of Agile methodologies. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Experience performing gap analysis and associated documentation. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Experience with Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
